What we do
My Voice First is a children's voice and engagement platform built specifically for residential children's homes. It helps children and young people share their views, wishes, feelings and worries through accessible, play-based activities — from weekly check-ins and house meetings to care-plan reviews, school and health views, and getting-ready-to-move planning. Each activity guides a child at their own pace and can be tailored with accessibility modes such as picture choices, easy-read text and read-to-me, so every child can take part whatever their age, ability or communication style.
When a child finishes an activity, their answers are turned into a clear, shareable document for the trusted adults in their life — and then the answers themselves are destroyed. We never store a child's voice on our servers, which keeps children safe while still making sure they are heard.
Who it's for
My Voice First is made for Registered Managers, deputy managers, key workers and the wider staff teams who care for children in residential settings, as well as the children themselves. It supports homes of every type — including those supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs, learning disabilities, autism and neurodivergence, and complex needs.
Who builds it
My Voice First is built and maintained by My Voice First LTD. We work closely with the homes that use the platform to keep improving it, and new activities and features are included for every subscriber as they are released.
